Classical Guitar Concert

Guitarist Robin Bibeau will be performing a unique collection of Classical Masterworks from the 1700’s through the year 1960. Selections include material from J.S. BachDomenico ScarlattiFernando SorFrancisco TárregaJoaquín TurinaManuel Ponce and Heitor Villa-Lobos to name a few. The concert will highlight compositions written in Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and all over the world. Robin, will have his trusted luthier custom made Spanish Classical Guitar, Loriente Sofia.

Robin Bibeau has performed classical recitals with Professor Isaac Bustos (internationally renowned classic guitarist) and the ETSO East Texas Symphony Orchestra (Richard Lee– Music Director, Conductor with the symphony orchestras of Winnipeg, Quebec and Thunder Bay, as well as Music Director of the Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra) and a wide selection of other great artists.

As a former student of TJC and UT Tyler’s classical guitar programs, Robin Bibeau recently took part in Franklin Kimlicko’s “50th Year Anniversary Celebration Concert”. The event was to celebrate the legacy of Professor Kimlicko as the guitar and music theory professor at Tyler Junior College (TJC).

Robin was also a student at The University of Texas at Tyler, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance. He also received an Associate of Arts in Music Degree from Tyler Junior College in May of 2017 (Magna Cum Laude). Robin also performed as a guitarist with the Whitehouse High School Jazz Band from Freshman year through graduation in May of 2015 (2013 Region 4A All Region Jazz Band, graduated with honors).
